Wow ive just read in article from USA today that Apparently Microsoft is being sued by two employees who were force to watch child porn & murder videos , now im not sure if this is real or fake but it sound that this could of actually happened.
According to Courthouse News who have reported this have said that Henry Soto and Greg Blauert were part of Microsoft's online safety team , whose job was to figure out what online content should be taken down and when it should be reported to police. In that position , Soto and Blauert say they had to look at images of child pornography, murder, bestiality, and "indescribable sexual assault."
Ok this report from courthouse raise's a serious issue but isn't this apart of their jobs , so they knew what they were getting in right?
Well accord to further report Henry Soto and Greg Blauert are now suing microsoft for psychological damage called P.T.S.D ( Post Traumatic stress disorder). Now i know what P.T.S.D does to a person its not something i wish on anyone as i suffer with it for various reason myself , but it a big statement to make when you work in a online safety department of Microsoft.
Accord to the report on Us today the two employees filed a law suit against Microsoft last month , accusing Microsoft company of negligence, disability discrimination, and violation of the Consumer Protection Act.
Soto say's in the article that microsoft Transferred him to the online safety department in 2008 , he goes on to say that due to the company's policy he was force to stay there for a year and a half.
During this time he clams to suffer from P.T.S.D suffering with hallucinations & nightmares after watching violent & disturbing videos of girl being abused and killed.
He says soon after this he suffered from mental breakdown in 2013 and is still being treated for acute and debilitating P.T.S.D , which he clams Microsoft gave not Psychological support , during working there he clams microsoft didnt warn him of these things.
Whats more shocking from microsoft is the support they got was being told to go walking it off , go out side for a smoke or play video games to clear their heads which was reported from lawsuit states. Shocking right?
According to soto and Greg they gave some suggestions for improvements in the work place , but this apparently fell on deaf ears & was ignored which was reported from Daily Beast.
This responds from Microsoft just seem like damage control & PR for the company as they stated
"We have put in place robust wellness programs to ensure the employees who handle this material have the resources and support they need.”
Which clearly they haven't because if this was true , they wouldn't have two employees suffering from P.T.S.D. This has completely shown what it like to work for microsoft as it seem they dont really care about their workers welbeing , so if this is true than microsoft deserves to be sued.
