Dark pictures Anthology: Man of Medan Review

Another game from Supermassive Games creator of Until dawn which was a PlayStation exclusive couple of years go, bring you a supernatural horror this time, that resembles the film ghostship, when you are forced on board a ship that adrift at sea unaware of what awaits you in the dark atmospheric corners and rooms.

Just like before with Until dawn you action has consequences that could led to survival or death, it not the choice that makes this story great it the supernatural concept that makes this game great especial when you walking down a corner as you walk through a door, you see something standing there but when you go back to look it gone, its the creepy and dark atmosphere that keep the player on edge as you try to find a way out.

When it comes to scaring the living shit out of you, this game truly scare the shit out of you, ive it made me jump 14 times through the whole playthrough, with Unreal 4 engine giving the enivormenet the must need creepy tone it set this game up really well for a supernature horror game.

which will take you up to 4 hours to actually complete, so really if your planing on by this game I wouldn't pay any more than £20 - $20 for it as the game is very short and can be done in 4 hours, however, if you a trophy hunter this game will require you to play two playthroughs as two trophies require you to kill or save everyone which is not easy to save everyone you have to pay attention to the quick-time events or it could lead to the character death.

HERE THE CON.
Being a trophy hunter this is my biggest annoyance when it comes to gaming, this obsessive need for Multiplayer trophies and Co-op trophies forcing a trophy hunter to play these two modes. Yes, this is a game that would be great to play with friends in Co-op and Movie Night mode with a group of friends or family because this game is great as a supernatural horror that will scare the crap out of everyone.

But these Mode shouldn't be forced to play for the platinum, this game didnt need it, the Co-op and movie night mode could have been optional and the platinum didnt need to be locked by the cop- op and movie night mode, this game could have easily been done like Until dawn in a single-player Platinum playthrough, like I said the co-op and movie night mode could've been optional

Not everyone has good friends that are willing to play with you or has a friend that has the game, plus the trophy in a co-op are easily missable especial when it requires you teammate to choice the right mutiplay choice question or you lose the trophy, plus only the host gets the trophy and forcing you to both help each other through 4 hours through the host and then another 4 hours to help a friend get the trophy is pretty bad thinking.

This game could've of been made an 8 hours single-player game to get the platinum trophy and have the co-op and Movie night mode optional. this is what lets this game down on what is a perfect story for the game.

Overall: 5.6 out 10 for this game, big let down on the platinum trophy hunter side. Not worth £25
