Darksiders Remastered on the ps4 and Xbox one , is it really worth buying again? Well this is kind of a yes and no answer really here , just depend on what type of gamer you are whether you a completionist gamer looking for platinum trophy's and you haven't play this game yet then yes.
As this game has pretty easy trophy to get although some are a bit of a grind to get , but worth playing if you haven't played this game yet.
Darksiders came out in 2010 from Vigil Games and was published by THQ Nordic who recently when bankrupt a few year ago , the game itself is inspiration from the apocalypse as you take control of one of the four horsemen on a search to find out why you have been summon when the seals havent been broken along with a watcher who has been voice by Mark Hamill.
This action role-playing hack and slash game isnt too bad but i wouldn't expect much from this remaster although there are a few enemy that have been added, since i last played the game on the ps3.
The game play is good plus it can be fast paced and sometime you can over look certain areas special if you looking for things , as some areas have secret spots where you need to collect the object for the certain trophy.
Graphic wise there isnt really much improvement other than colour has been improved so i wouldn't expect this to be up todate graphics , as it still has the ps3 and Xbox 360 graphics in the game. At times the controls can be a little frustrating as when you go to jump you end up missing the jump , this can be a pain in the ass at the best of time so i think there iss a slight bug here.
Boss battles are pretty easy when you know their weak points & attack movements , although the only hardest challenge is the final boss battle special in the hardest mode to which one of the trophy are tied to. This can be very frustrating as it has two stage's to this fight , if you die after finishing the first stage of the fight during the second fight you have to do the first stage again which can be annoying.
The trophy system is pretty straight forward most of the trophy's are tied to beating certain boss's and complete the game of a certain difficulty , where the others are tied to weapon upgrades & collect apart of an Armour. This can be a grind at time as you need to get alot of soul to buy certain upgrades and moves , so expect a long grind if you want the platinum trophy.
PROS:
Trophy system is pretty easy no complected moves or trick to do.
Story is pretty good
Game play is ok
If you havent played this on the ps3 , looking for a platinum trophy it worth buying.
Con:
Remastered edition does't offer anything new
The jumping system can be a little bug at times
Can be repetitive having to play it more than once
There is no health meters on boss's
If you have played this one the ps3 not interest in platinum not worth buying.
The one thing that a shame is the fact THQ went out of business after darksiders 2 where you played as the other horsemen Death which was another great game to play , which unfortunately put a halt on a great series game from doing more.
But there is a rumor that now a company called Nordic has brought THQ , there is a rumor that Nordic could be continuing this game series with darksiders 3. Now whether this happen is remained to be seen as this was announced on a website i digital times back in 2012 link here , we still haven't seen any more news on this so yet hope this 3rd game hasn't been scrap just yet.
